  1. In a medium pot, combine the sweet potatoes with enough salted water to cover and bring to a boil over medium -high heat. Lower the heat and simmer until tender, about 15 to 20 minutes; drain. Add cooked sweet potatoes, banana, butter and cream to food processor or blender and blend till smooth; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. While the potatoes are cooking, in a skillet toast the almond slices , 3 to 5 minutes and then set aside. Add the green beans , a swirl of olive oil and some water and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until crisp -tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. Heat a large pan over medium -high heat and pour enough oil in to coat the bo ttom of the pan . Season the pork chops with salt and pepper; add to the pan and cook, about 7 minutes.
  4. While cooking brush both sides of pork chops with honey several times.
  5. Serve with the green beans topped with toasted almonds and banana -mashed sweet potatoes.
