Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 2 garlic cloves , minced
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 TBSP ancho chili powder
- 1 TBSP chili powder
- 1 TBSP Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup hot sauce
- 2 lbs chicken wings
Directions
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan. Add the garlic and cook for a minute longer. Th en add the vinegar , honey , chili powders , mustard , and hot sauce . Reduce the mixture by 1/3 , stirring occasionally, about 10 -15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly or until sauce thickens.
- Heat a grill to medium - high heat. Grill the wings until fully cooked, approx 8 minutes per side.
- Place cooked wings in a large bowl. P our some of the sauce over the wings and toss to coat.
- Serve with blue cheese dressing , carrots and/or celery, and extra sauce.
Notes
- Optional ingredients include bourbon, barbeque sauce, brown sugar, and/or chili sauce. Also wings can be friend or cooked in the oven instead of on a grill.
